Dear Family!
I know it isn't much, but...
Here's a report of my first day at the MTC:
EVERYONE welcomes you. I guess most new missionaries probably need it, but it's odd because I have never been anywhere like it. I have three pretty cool roommates, one of which I already know (Elder Duncan). My companion has already served a three-month mini mission in St. George, so its nice to have him around whenever someone asks a tough question in our pseudo-investigator meetings. We had a few today and it surprised me that they actually had real investigators like non-members. I felt the meeting went badly because it got way off topic and frankly, it got really awkward, but I guess it's good training!
The food -- which there is plenty of -- is not all that great. I won't starve, but I won't be lovin' it. I might have to resort to eating cereal every meal cause I tried the mini-wheats and they rock. That's what I did in college and I'm fine with that!
Well that's about the jist of what I did today... exciting! I miss you all and love each one of you! I'll be writing you more when I get time. Until then, much love,
Tab -- Elder McLain
